About Us
Founded in 2005, the Aspire Education Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to
helping those children who have demonstrated the potential to excel but lack financial support
needed to pursue junior high and high school education. Aspire is committed to establishing
educational programs and scholarships that give these children a chance to pull themselves
out of poverty, pursue their dreams, and better their lives as well as the lives of people
around them in the future.
Up until the summer of 2006, Aspire sponsors 45 high school students and 80 junior high students in Jiangxi
and Yunnan provinces. The selection of the school sites and the students was made with the
help from the local branch of the Jiangxi Women's Federation. We have local
volunteers at the site to help us supervise and monitor the progress of the students.
We conduct annual visit to our students and write to our students on regular basis.
The operation and administrative work is done by volunteers. 100% of the donation are
spent on the students. The school tuition and expense is around $100 per year for a junior
high student and $300 per year for a high school student.
